In 2019, an impassioned group of individuals united around their shared love for youth rugby, initiated discussions to merge three esteemed Sacramento organizations:  Land Park Motley Youth Club, Land Park Harlequins H.S. Girls Club, and  C.K. McClatchy H.S. Boys Club. While each club had achieved individual success, the aim of this consolidation was to maximize the growth and impact of the game. By coming together, we envisioned a stronger pathway for players to advance to the next level in rugby. Our ultimate goal is to provide aspiring athletes with the opportunity to develop their skills and compete at the highest levels - be it in college, professional teams, or even on the international stage.

Our unwavering focus has always been to provide a premier rugby experience for our youth and high school players. As a unified union, we can offer a comprehensive and high-quality rugby journey, beginning at the youth level and continuing through high school. Our mission is to create a positive environment where players of all backgrounds can learn and excel in rugby, while also fostering a sense of camaraderie and teamwork that will serve as a foundation for any future endeavor.

We extend a warm invitation to all individuals to join the Sacramento Rugby Union, regardless of their skill level or experience. Emphasizing the importance of enjoyment, we firmly believe that if you're not having fun, you're not truly playing rugby!
